Networking giant Cisco Systems chosen the blockchain-based platform developed by SingularityNET company to host its decentralized AGI based project.
Artificial General Intelligence is a division of AI that concentrates on a computer’s potential to learn intellectual tasks. Whereas current AI would possibly learn to read characters on a page, for example, a real AGI system would probably intuit to write the book.
In a joint announcement by Dr. Ben Goertzel, SingularityNET CEO, stated, “The scale of the AGI deployments wanted by a partner like Cisco is going to be tremendous, and we’re working hard to ensure our AGI tools, and our blockchain-based platform is up to the task.”
SingularityNET company’s platform democratizes Artificial Intelligence by decentralizing its source, limiting any single team or player from keeping computers’ potential to learn.
Cisco and SingularityNET view the potential in building AGI collectively, based on Goertzel. He stated this technology is “anticipated to supply tremendous commercial benefit to whoever develops it.”
“This profit may initially take the form of a generation of ‘Narrow AGI’ systems that infuse basic intelligence into products in specific vertical markets like, say, advertising, medical research, computer networking or financial analytic,” he stated.
Cisco’s role in global technology kickstarts that goal.
